We are excited to share that the FIAT Center, the cornerstone of our Fiat for the Future Campaign, is complete and ready to serve our parish community. In less than six months since it was dedicated, this center is already a hub for spiritual growth, education, and fellowship, hosting a variety of programs for all of our parishioners.
While the building is fully constructed, we still have $882,984.73 remaining to meet our campaign goal. To help close this gap, we are aiming to raise $25,000 through your generous support during the #iGiveCatholic campaign.
Your donation, no matter the amount, will bring us closer to completing this important project that will benefit our parish for generations to come.
Please join us in making this vision a reality by donating today! Every gift counts, and we deeply appreciate your continued commitment to Queen of the Holy Rosary and the FIAT Center.
Thank you for your generosity and prayers.
This year’s special online campaign is “Streaming Our Masses,” as we seek to pay ourselves back for the livestreaming equipment we installed in May and continue to enhance today. What started out with a parishioner on a cell phone streaming via his Verizon account to our Facebook page became three cameras and an AV system that today streams through a new Internet service provider hired in June. It also streams to a screen in the basement of the church, increasing our capacity as we continue to social distance. The components that you may contribute to are:
1. A stationary camera in the center at the rear of the church focused on the altar - $1,499.00
2. Two tilt and pan cameras on either side about 30’ and 45’ in front of the altar, respectively - $4,024.19 each
3. Two spotlights illuminating the front of the altar - $1,385.49 each
4. A 9-port switch with 4 Power-Over-Internet ports for the cameras - $944.38
5. A network video recorder - $5,525.00
6. An HD Streamer and SD Recorder - $1,499.99
7. Two iPad Pro controllers, one for controlling the camera and one of eight shots and the other for setting up the next shot - $990.00 each.
8. A laptop computer to monitor the Facebook feed and comments, transfer the edited mass to our web site, and in the future, contain any graphics we create - $549.00
9. A 32’ LCD television for real-time monitoring - $104.00
The total cost of the project to date has been $30,539.07, which includes labor for installation.
When we installed the new sound system several years ago, it was with the intent that it be able to be enhanced to livestream video and sound to parishioners who were unable to be present, including the homebound, those in assisted living, people vacationing, and even serve as an evangelization tool. We never dreamed it would become a critical need for our church to maintain engagement as a result of a pandemic. We are very pleased with the feedback we have received from parishioners, as well as non-parishioners here and across the United States. If you are among those who have come to appreciate our online masses and other presentations, please help us restore our reserves so that we may be prepared for future emergencies.
