The Queen Theatre (Downtown Bryan Association)

A nonprofit organization

Stories are the best way to bring us together. The Queen is a resource and icon for the community. Independent filmaker screenings, community awareness of environmental issues, cultural programming and much more have allowed individuals and organizations to tell their story.

After nearly 40 years of decay and neglect on Main Street in Downtown Bryan, the Queen Theatre was restored and opened in May, 2018. As a single screen theatre and event venue, the Queen stands out as an iconic symbol for not only downtown, but the greater Bryan/College Station community. Programming consists primarily of classic films and blockbusters from the past 30 years. Additionally, the Queen provides a place for the community to experience the thriving arts and culture scene by forming partnerships with local entities and organizations. Hosting a vintage radio play presented by high school students, offering a space for local filmakers to debut their work, presenting culturally relevant programming - all this and more is establishing the Queen as more than "just" a movie theatre. Funding is needed to continue developing community partnerships. We all have a story. We'd love to tell yours!
