Queer Northshore

Your support helps bring Pride to the Northshore and sustain the LGBTQ+ community spaces that make it possible.

Queer Northshore is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting LGBTQ+ visibility, community, and acceptance across the Northshore of Louisiana.

Founded in 2022, Queer Northshore began with a simple goal: create spaces and opportunities where LGBTQ+ people and allies in St. Tammany Parish could connect, build community, and feel that they belong.

Since then, we have:

• Hosted 300+ community events across the Northshore
• Produced the first Pride parade in St. Tammany Parish, now going into it's 3rd year
• Launched the Queer Louisiana podcast amplifying local LGBTQ+ voices
• Created the first LGBTQ+ krewe to parade on the Northshore
• Recruited dozens of LGBTQ+ residents to serve on boards, committees, and community leadership roles

Our monthly programs — including meetups, peer support groups, book club, and Drag Bingo — are offered free of charge so that everyone can participate.

Today, Pride Northshore draws thousands of attendees to the Mandeville Lakefront each year, and our regular events bring together LGBTQ+ people and allies from across St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington Parishes.

Queer Northshore is a volunteer-led organization, meaning every dollar donated helps sustain programs that build connection, visibility, and belonging for LGBTQ+ people on the Northshore. Learn more at www.queernorthshore.org.
