Help us restore the historic pathways of Northeast Pennsylvania for all to enjoy

Imagine a four-season escape, where the only sounds are the rustle of leaves and the rush of nearby streams and rivers. That's the D&H Rail-Trail — a serene place for people of all ages to bike, run, walk their furry friends, cross-country ski, and more. 

Built along the rails that once shipped our region's anthracite coal, the trail follows the Lackawanna River, the Starrucca Creek, and the mighty Susquehanna River for 38 miles through the rural, scenic landscape of the Endless Mountains. 

With 24 miles already enhanced, we're on a mission to improve another 7 miles in 2025. But to make this possible, we need your help. Your generosity will help us match state and federal funds and allow us to continue our nonprofit's mission to enhance the quality of life for the people who live and work in Northeast Pennsylvania and all who visit.
