For 119 years, Ranken Technical College has diligently advanced its efforts to fill the unique niche left unaddressed by other colleges and universities: providing affordable, hands-on technical education that helps graduates find challenging employment in their specialized fields and successfully advance into lifetime careers. Our St. Louis campus has operated continuously in the same location for more than a century. Today, the College enrolls approximately 2.000 students annually educating students in five technical divisions: Automotive, Construction, Industrial Electricity and Electronics, Information Technology and Manufacturing. Ranken offers associate's degrees in eighteen technical fields, certifications in twenty-two fields, and bachelor's degrees in the fields of Architectural Technology and Applied Management.

Ranken's reputation relies on our formula for student success, based upon three equal components: Technical Education, consisting of the theoretical and practical application of modern technology; General Education, assisting students develop skills such as communication, mathematical reasoning and business, that propel career advancement; and Work Ethic: exposing students to the values, attitudes and behaviors sought by current employers by treating students as true professionals from day one. Ranken's graduates are in high demand, often with multiple job offers before completing their degree. Our programs show a job placement rate within six months of graduation of 98% or more.

Ranken – West, located in both Wentzville, and Troy, MO, continues the College’s tradition of excellence with its state-of-the-art shops, labs, and equipment. Because of its’ exceptional rate of growth, Ranken-West is currently expanding its facilities in order to serve more students in the area. This growing location will offer new courses and will continue to provide the gold standard in hands-on technical education to even more students.

Ranken – Southeast, situated in Perryville, MO, provides a diverse range of classes including Diesel Technology, Commercial Driver License training, HVACR Technology, Mechanical Automation Technology, Information Technology, and Fabrication and Welding, complemented by general education courses.

Ranken – Central MO, located in Ashland, MO, is dedicated to equipping students with essential skills through its classes in Carpentry and Building Construction Technology, Fabrication and Welding Technology, Mechanical Automation Technology, and Information Technology, all supported by a robust general education curriculum.
