Rebuilding Together SWI

Rebuilding Together is the nation's leading nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods by providing home repair and renovation services free of charge to those in need. We strive to ensure low income homeowners are safe, warm, and dry. We focus on low income homeowners with disabilities, veterans, and seniors.

Rebuilding Together SouthWest Illinois is an organization where hundreds of volunteers and donors each year can feel the impact of helping their community.

As homeowners age, their ability to care for their home decreases. The mission of Rebuilding Together SWI is to keep homeowners in Madison, St Clair, and Jersey counties in their homes. We build ramps, replace toilets, paint, replace electrical service... but some of the biggest tears we get from homeowners is things like landscaping. This is because our organization is not just about bringing homes up to code, it's about dignity.

Every dollar donated to Rebuilding Together is turned into four dollars of home repairs and modifications because our skilled volunteers offer their labor for free or deeply discounted.
