Refreshing Outlook

Our mission and desire is to bring faith,hope and love to all that go through dark and trying times and offer each a brighter tomorrow. Refreshing Outlook will support those by encouraging them in their faith, and supply them with the hope that they can overcome the many challenges lying before them.

After the passing of the founder, Charlie Bedenbaugh's son Will, a college baseball player at Charleston Southern University, passed away in 2010 due to an automobile accident, Refreshing Outlook was created. As a baseball player Will loved signing his autograph for fans; his first initial, W, was always very pronounced. The day after Will was laid to rest, clouds started appearing in distinct shapes of W's. After seeing these Charlie posted on social media that he could hear his son talking with God and asking God if he could play with his clouds to send a message to his family letting them know that he was safe in heaven. One week later on Christmas eve another cloud appeared directly above Will's cemetery spelling his name. After these sightings Charlie pledged to do something very special for Will, so that others that are experincing a similar hurt can find hope that their loved ones are also safe in heaven. Building The Will is going to allow Refreshing Outlook with the oppertunitye to bring people closer to Christ through a sport. The complex is named "THE WILL" Memorial Sports Complex. It is named after my son Will, however, the meaning behind the name stands for having the will to overcome hard times in life.

In 2020 I met Jimmy and Penny Spears that lived in Sparanburg SC. Their son Dillon had recently passed away from a swimming accident. Dillon played baseball for his high school and I asked the parents if I could remember Dillon at The WILL Memorial Sports Complex. They graciously said yes and a tremendous friendship was born. It brought them light into a very dark life for someone to show sincere concern about their loss.
