Welcome to Renuma Lu, INC! 

We strive to use our small farm to instill social and emotional skills in Kentuckiana youth through a therapeutic farm setting. We've adjusted programming as needed since we started serving our community in 2019 through "Dirt to Dinner" classes for elementary, middle, and high school students in a local school. 

Since then, we have had small school and homeschool groups out to the farm for special garden and cooking days, we have hosted elementary school groups, we have invited behavioral therapists to bring clients out for open farm time that could be tailored to their client's specific behavioral goals. We have hosted a community garden for two years, now, that allows families to spend regular time together growing food, socializing with other gardeners, composting, and interacting with the chickens, goats, pig, and ducks that are the highlight of our farm experience.  

In every season of our organization's work, though, the focus has been on creating a community for youth in our area to get social and emotional skill practice, whether it is in working alongside other children, sharing parenting strategies and responses for difficult behaviors, working through discomfort, asking for help, practicing interacting with new people, participating in emotional "composting" by sharing appropriately about life's ups and downs, or just getting time to be present in the fresh air with plants and animals. 

We look forward to the 2025 "Growing Season" and what it holds for the families and youth that will join us.
