Resurrection Catholic School

A nonprofit organization

Resurrection Catholic Church's original building, constructed in 1966, was designed with the vision of eventually converting it into a parish school. This dream began to take shape in the fall of 1992 with the establishment of Resurrection Catholic School, offering kindergarten through second grade. Portable classrooms were utilized, and church spaces were repurposed to accommodate the growing school. Each year, an additional grade was added until the school covered all eight grades.

As the school expanded, plans were set in motion to build a new church so that the existing church building could be repurposed for the school's needs.

Groundbreaking for the new church took place on Easter Sunday, March 30, 1997, which also served as the parish's patronal feast. The new church was officially dedicated on July 19, 1998.

During the summer of 1998, the old church was renovated to accommodate the growing school. With the old church now fully converted into the new school, all classrooms were located within the school building. Portable classrooms were still utilized for various purposes, including music, Spanish classes, church youth groups, additional space for science projects, and other needs as they arose.

The new school building effectively served the school for many years. As the parish continued to grow, an expansion became necessary to meet the school's needs. Plans were initiated, and in 2009, an addition was constructed, providing eight additional classrooms.

Resurrection Catholic School remains committed to its mission of educating children in the Catholic faith, imparting life skills, and fostering the development of students' spiritual, intellectual, and social abilities. RCS eagerly anticipates further expansion of its facilities.
