Lake Fork Stables

Our mission is to provide the kids of East Texas with the opportunity to experience the joy of horses through horsemanship and riding and equine assisted learning. Our goal is to develop children into independent, confident, and self-sufficient riders while also experiencing the emotional, mental, and physical benefits that horses provide.

Riders Up! is a youth mentorship program at Lake Fork Stables, a 501(c)3 public charity. We provide free and reduced-cost riding lessons to the children of low-income families, children on the autism spectrum, military/first responder families, and foster children. We are a licensed Pony Club Riding Center. We are also excited to introduce Horse Powered Reading to our line up of programs providing children with equine-assisted learning activities!

Horse Sense Equine Therapy Retreats provide a much-needed respite for autism families across the state.

Our lessons and equine-assisted therapy sessions are focused on safety and good horsemanship. We are a sanctuary for retired Thoroughbred racehorses, providing them with second and third careers.
