Rio Concho Terrace

The mission is to serve persons 62 years of age and older by providing dignified and appropriate housing choices to accommodate their changing needs and enhance their quality of life.

The Rio Concho Terrace is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to provide safe, dignified, affordable senior housing. Built in 1979 by community raised donations the Terrace caters to those who wish to be freed of the hassles of cooking, cleaning, and driving. Our community provides independent senior living, with just a bit of assistance for those who do not need a nursing home or skilled medical care, but do desire assistance with the chores of daily living. Rio Concho Terrace is a full-service community with all-inclusive rent pricing offering three meals a day, transportation service, housekeeping, laundry service, planned activities, 24-hour staff, monitored emergency call system, and in house convenience store. Financial assistance with rent is available for those who qualify.

After my husband, Tommy had a stroke we needed more help. We moved into the Rio Concho Terrace where three meals a day are provided seven days a week. We also get housekeeping as well as linen and towel laundry service plus, free transportation to and from any medical appointments in San Angelo. All of this is included in our rent. A couple of years ago we decided we better start thinking about the next stage of our retirement. We visited several retirement communities in San Angelo and out of state and were happy we had done our homework. Arriving for our introductory visit, several resident ladies were in the entrance lounge area and ask if we were thinking about moving to the Terrace.
