Rising Tide Ministries

Rising Tide Ministries is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering individuals to rise above life's challenges by offering guidance, support, education, and a hand up. We help people find hope, rebuild lives, and embrace a future filled with purpose and potential. We serve all members of the Coastal Bend and take an active role in the community to make a difference. We encourage individuals to use their gifts to give back, while partnering with local organizations and the City of Corpus Christi to avoid duplication of services and maximize our impact.

Our Resale Shop helps generate funds for our current programs. In 2024, we served almost 2500 community members. Our Wave Academy provides free training in a variety of areas to equip members of our community to find better jobs, enroll in college and improve their quality of life. Classes are free to the community and include Computer Basics, Microsoft Office, Google IT, ESL, Spanish, GED, Credit Repair and Finding Money for college. We also assist individuals obtain an ID, job applications, career testing and updating/writing resumes. Our Safe at Home programs assist the elderly with a variety of repairs to their home to make it a safer living environment for them. Various projects include building ramps, patching roofs, adding grab bars, building rails, and tub to shower conversions. Our A Way Home program reunites homeless individuals with their families in other areas of the country. Our Sew Fabulous Program teaches students of all ages from basic hand sewing techniques to learning on a machine. Our Gifts from Granny program offers grandparents with limited resources an opportunity to pick a Christmas gift for their grandchildren.

Another student attended the Rising Tide Ministries Finding Money for College class and was able to secure scholarships to help him achieve his dream of earning a degree. He later used what he learned to assist his brother in obtaining scholarships.
