Rita's Cat Rescue

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, and lifelong sanctuary for cats in need-especially those who are elderly, disabled, or difficult to place-while promoting compassion, education, and advocacy for the well-being of all cats.

Rita's Cat Rescue is a state-licensed rescue dedicated to giving homeless cats- including those with chronic illnesses- a safe, healthy, and loving home for life. Our free-roaming facility offers plenty of open space for exercise, play, and comfort. Each cat receives the same high-quality medical care we would provide for our own pets.

Currently, we care for 64 resident cats and 21 foster cats and kittens, along with managing four feral cat colonies in downtown Beatrice. For these colonies, we provide food, medical care, and support a trap-neuter-vaccinate-return program to help end feline overpopulation.

At Rita's Cat Rescue, every cat is given the chance to live out its life in warmth, comfort, and safety.

Testimonials

Rita's Cat Rescue goes above and beyond to care for every cat lucky enough to find their way to this cat paradise. Being able to see the colony thriving and happy has been a blessing in my life. I am immensely grateful to be able to visit such a beloved haven for all felines. -Becca

Rita's Cat Rescue is a place of care, kindness and most of all love. The cats or residents all have names not numbers. They get veterinarian care when needed and they have a home. The last one to me is important, "they have a home." When one of them crosses the rainbow bridge, it hurts, because they are family. -Carolyn
