Riverview Towers provides affordable quality housing and related services to the elderly.

Riverview Apartments Inc. DBA Riverview Towers, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 1965, serves the housing needs of older adults (62 of age and older) in a housing setting. Subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), there are 221 apartments housed in two buildings. The tenant population is approximately 195 elderly with an average age of 84 years.
Approximately 96% of all residents are considered to be "frail," which means they have deficits in 3 or more categories of "activities of daily living," such as, bathing, dressing, grooming and housekeeping.
More than 50% of the residents receive housekeeping and laundry services through Riverview's Congregate Housing Services Program. Other residents have Area Agency on Aging help or hire private duty housekeepers and/or companions to care for their needs.
Over 43% of the residents require some type of mobility device, such as a wheelchair, walker, cane or an escort to get around the building or to go outside. More than 10% of the residents have dementia to varying degrees.
The majority of the residents have multiple health issues, such as heart conditions, lung problems, osteoporosis, arthritis, depression, low vision, and poor hearing. Many residents, who could be better served in assisted living facilities, are staying at Riverview because of affordable monthly rents, and services that include, but not limited to:
