Robert Conte Foundation for Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorders, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to help individuals with Parkinson's disease and their family members to cope with the many challenges of living with Parkinson's. We strive to increase awareness, provide support, encourage fitness and share hope in the battle against PD throughout the Brazos Valley.

We introduced a non-contact boxing and fitness program to the Brazos Valley 14 months ago to provide a venue for people with Parkinson's disease to exercise. In addition to medication, exercise may be the most important tool to help fight the progressive, debilitating symptoms of this disease. We currently have 35 individuals, ranging in age from 56 years to 82 years, who are committed to working out up to 3 days per week. We recently added a water exercise class to our program which is also designed specifically for people with Parkinson's disease.
