Robotics And Beyond was founded in 2004 and awarded 501(c)3 status in 2007. Our Mission is to help young people Pre-k-12, and young adults, to discover and develop their greatest interests and talents and pursue pathways to successful careers and fulfilling lives. Our focus is on the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Design. We serve an average of 450-600 individuals annually from over 50 towns and all counties served by CT Community Foundation. We also serve individuals in alternative education programs, those with special learning needs, and teachers and parents through professional development programs and workshops. We provide hundreds of young people with true teaching, leadership and mentoring experience, which motivates sharing and volunteerism in their own work and personal lives, and develops skills that greatly impact their careers. We provide and guide students and parents with perspective and insight to careers and education and training paths toward those careers.

Our programs are held at our space in New Milford, CT,  and at public and private schools and other non-profit educational organizations in the region. On average, 20-30% of our students have specific learning needs and traits typical of the autism spectrum and we have a tremendous positive impact with these individuals. We provide a welcoming and rewarding environment for individuals of the special needs and LGBTQ+ communities, as students, as instructors and as key administrative managers. Approximately 30% of all students require tuition assistance. Minority enrollment is estimated at 20-30% and generally includes Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Asian, Indian and African Americans. Female attendance in grades k-12 is approximately 20%. We also offer a week-long summer camp for girls only, taught almost entirely by girls and women professionals.

Some important milestones as of December, 2025: Students served 2700+; Student learning hours 82,000+, Peer Mentor teaching & leadership hours 29,000+; internships provided 36; Volunteer hours 64,000+; Student service hours 40,000+.
