Room for Me Ministries

We saw a need for young moms serving in ministry, interested in growing in their faith and in pursuit of changing their circumstances.Our heart is to partner with young mothers and children by providing a space where they can grow, learn and excel in their lives personally, professionally and spiritually. We formed our organization to partner with the church and community to provide a safe place for them to do so while persevering through motherhood.

We are not a shelter but instead a long term co-housing arrangement that focuses on personal, professional and spiritual goals, healing and growth. We encourage the women in our program to take the steps necessary for a healthy, proactive future; this may be earning a GED or diploma, learning to drive, getting into college, trade school, counseling, healing workshops and much more. We use community living to help all involved learn real life skills ex: (cooking, co-living, budgeting, cleanliness) this promotes excitement for their futures and invites a healthy exposure to real life challenges and expectations as an adult. Live-In mentors are their for resources, support and hands on engagement with these families and their needs to help ensure the environment remains safe for all, all requirements are maintained and overall health and respect for the home.
