SAVING LIVES...ONE AT A TIME

We have been placing one foot in front of the other and saving lives one at a time since 2010. What was once unfathomable has become the new normal. The animal crisis of recent years has resulted in unprecedented increases in shelter populations. On average days, we provide shelter and care for more than 250 animals with cats narrowly outnumbering dogs. Each animal arrives with different needs and is provided with an abundance of love and patience as they work to overcome their pasts and feel safe in the present. Thanks to our supporters and events such as Arizona Gives, each has a chance at a better future. 

THE REALITY OF LONGER SHELTER STAYS

The journey from animal intake to loving home is often long. Unfortunately, adoption rates have not kept up with intakes. As a result, many animals are staying in the shelter environment for longer periods of time.  This means higher veterinary costs for dental care; to treat mobility issues; and for other age-related care to ensure quality of life. We are committed to helping every animal be the best they can be. We are able to keep this commitment thanks to our supporters and fundraising events such as Arizona Gives.

SHARED JOURNEY

We are a grass roots, boots-on-the-ground organization. We receive no municipal support. We are not part of a larger organization that pays 6-figure salaries to its directors. Our dedicated Board members are unpaid volunteers. We know that every shelter pet has a story. Our goal is to create a new chapter for each that has a happy ending. As a non-profit, no-kill shelter we are able to do what we do because of those that share our journey. Proceeds from Arizona Gives and our yearly Aviation Expo (see tab on this page) help to ensure that the journey continues. Thank you for being part of it.
