Rolling River Rescue

Our mission is to take unwanted animals into foster homes, get them healthy, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and find them loving forever homes through community outreach and awareness.

Rrrrescue was founded because we believe that as a society we can come up with better solutions to pet overpopulation than killing. WE CAN DO BETTER. Spay/Neuter, Education, Rescue, Transport, Foster Care, Legislation, all of it matters, all of it has a place in stopping the killing of "unwanted" pets.

We learned early on that we could make a difference with community awareness. Petfinder and Facebook have been game changers. Getting these animals into the eye of the public without requiring them to walk into an animal shelter made a huge difference. So in our 7 years we have been in the public eye at Petsmart every weekend PLUS Nola Brewery, Tubby & Coo's Bookstore, Magazine st Champagne Stroll, The Bulldog Uptown, Woofstock (3x!), Puppies and Yoga in the Park, The Tasting Room, The Rusty Nail, Babycakes Games, and countless other places.

Today makes two years since we adopted our blind pup, Luna Iris (formerly Mopsy)! What she lacks in sight she makes up for in cuddles and very loud snores! She has been the perfect addition to our family and we love her more and more each day!
