Salem Family Resources-Success By 6

A nonprofit organization

The purpose of Salem Family Resources (SFR) is to prevent
adverse childhood experiences by helping the families of young children to
thrive. The mission of Salem Family Resources is to promote the education,
health and well-being of Salem area children, particularly those whose families
are lower income and at-risk, by addressing the needs of the family as a whole.

The organization was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in
2004, although its origins go back to 1994 when Cindy Jury (founding Executive
Director), and friends/allies from the Salem Women's Club, the school district,
and the community-at-large, began meeting to discuss and act upon the needs of
lower-income families. This led to the development of play groups, parent
education classes, and a quality childcare program.

Thirty years after its informal beginnings, SFR continues to
provide vital services to Salem NH area families. The services we provide
include quality childcare (i.e., TLC Early Learning Program); resource &
referral services that link families to a variety of services they may need
(such as affordable housing, food, health care, and mental health services;
parent-child play groups & open play space, parent education & support
groups; and Cindy's Pantry (food, diapers, & hygiene products).
