Every day at Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School, the only year-round elementary school in Alexandria, teachers create classrooms where students feel welcomed, supported, and inspired to learn. Through Spring2Action, our community has a chance to give back to the educators who make this possible.

For 24 hours, Alexandria comes together to support the organizations that strengthen our city. This year, the Samuel W. Tucker Elementary PTA is raising funds to support two important priorities at our school: Teacher Appreciation and Teacher Grants.

Our teachers show up for students every day, creating welcoming classrooms, supporting diverse learning needs, and helping every child feel they belong. Spring2Action allows us to show our gratitude while providing resources that help them continue doing their best work.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Teachers often purchase classroom materials, learning tools, and enrichment supplies with their own money. Through PTA teacher grants, we can help bring creative ideas and innovative projects into Tucker classrooms.

At the same time, we want to ensure teachers feel supported and valued through meaningful appreciation efforts throughout the year.
