Who We Are

At San Antonio Pets Alive!, we believe every pet deserves a fighting chance. We are San Antonio Pets Alive!, a standalone, life-saving rescue organization that saves dogs and cats at risk of being euthanized at city shelters. We step in to rescue these animals after all other options have been exhausted. Our vision is to work towards the day no dog or cat is euthanized due to a lack of space, adopter, or foster.

That’s why our Marbach Clinic stands as a beacon of hope, providing vital, lifesaving medical care to thousands of vulnerable dogs and cats each year.

Lifesaving Medical Care at the Marbach Clinic

From routine preventative care to complex emergency procedures, our veterinary team works tirelessly to heal the animals who need it most. In 2025 alone, our medical program achieved incredible milestones:

• 16,810 critical vaccinations administered
• Over 3,500 spay and neuter surgeries performed
• Over 100 specialized, lifesaving surgeries completed

Last year, thanks to our medical interventions and dedicated community, we saved 5,289 pets from euthanasia. But medical care requires significant resources, and the need in our community never stops. This Big Give, we need your help to keep healing. We’re asking our incredible community to help us raise $70,000 to cover the critical medical costs, supplies, and surgeries needed to give these deserving animals a healthy second chance at life. Every single dollar donated directly translates to a life saved, a wound healed, and a healthy future.
