At SAVE GIRLS ON F.Y.E.R., we believe Black and Brown girls do not need to be fixed. They already hold brilliance, leadership, and purpose within them. Our role is to protect that FYER — Future Young Educated Role-Model — ensuring it is not dimmed by the barriers, biases, and limitations they too often face.
From an early age, Black and Brown girls are impacted by racism, underrepresentation, and a lack of safe, affirming spaces that honor who they are. These experiences can slowly erode confidence, silence their voice, and make it harder for girls to fully see their own power. But the FYER is still there.
At the SGOF Leadership Center and across our leadership development pipeline, girls gain access to the support, space, and community they need to build confidence, strengthen emotional wellness, trust their voice, and grow into bold leaders.

Who We Are
Save Girls On FYER (SGOF) is a 501 (c) (3) organization based in Waterbury, Connecticut. Our mission is to break the cycle of social immobility; we envision a world in which young girls of color experience liberation, through implementing educational and mentorship programs that offer them the experience to learn, grow and become the best versions of themselves as FYER (Future Young Educated Role Models).
