SCAR-Second Chance Animal Rescue

Thank you for visiting our story! We were established in 2020 as a 501(C) (3) nonprofit serving the community of the Panhandle.  We primarily pull dogs and cats from high kill shelters. We then place them in loving foster homes to rehabilitate and learn to become a wonderful family member. We believe strongly in making sure all our animals are fully vetted before they ever go to their new home. That means all are spayed/neutered, rabies, boosters, and micro chipped. Anything less than that only contributes to our communities massive over population problem. Our rescue is completely volunteer ran and foster home based. This is our biggest fundraiser for the year and we are solely run  on donations, every dollar goes 100% directly to the care of the animals in our program.
