Sonoran Desert Mountain Bicyclists

A nonprofit organization

SDMB is devoted to promoting the sport of mountain bicycling, protecting our access to trails for riders of all levels and styles, and to maintaining mountain bicycling opportunities that are environmentally and socially responsible.

Since 1998, SDMB has been working to Build, Ride, and Protect trails in Tucson and across Southern Arizona. Our volunteers work with land managers including Pima County, the City of Tucson, and Coronado National Forest to create and enhance riding and outdoor recreation opportunities for all trail users. Since 2013 SDMB has helped build nearly 30 miles of non-motorized multi-use singletrack including ongoing trail expansion in Tucson Mountain Park, construction of the McKenzie Ranch XC Race Venue, and beginning construction of 100-Acre Wood Bike Park. Our current major projects include continued construction of 100-Acre Wood Bike Park, development of nearly 4 miles of multi-use trail in Tucson Mountain Park, and maintenance and improvements at Fantasy Island Trails Park. Additionally, SDMB is working on long-term preservation of the Honeybee Canyon trails and the entire eastern slope of the Tortolita Mountains.
