To enhance quality of life for people of the greater Sedona community through our award winning food programs, outstanding exercise and educational activities, compassionate supportive services, and by providing a venue for meetings, social, and cultural events.

The Sedona Community Center is privileged to serve as the only area Meals on Wheels; the sole provider of a Monday through Fridayi hot, prepared lunch for our Sedona and Village of Oak Creek neighbors though home delivered and congregate meal service. Last year we served over 25,000 nutritious, home-style meals. Since January 2017, the monthly number of neighbors receiving our Congregate Meals has increased by 59% and recipients of Home Delivered Meals have increased by 6%. Each day, a dedicated cadre of volunteers ensures that the freshly prepared, well-balanced meal goes out to approximately 100 residents. The Sedona Community Center also created a unique service--the Breakfast/Weekend Club. Designed for the Meals on Wheels recipients, this service ensures that they always have enough to eat, even at breakfast time and the weekends. Most recipients of our vital food services are people with age-related or other disabilities who have spent their lives making positive contributions to their communities. Feedingamerica.org reports that 9.8 million seniors face the threat of hunger in the United States. Closer to home, that number breaks down to one in seven of our elderly Arizona neighbors. Many have to make the difficult choice between buying medicine or food. The heart-breaking reality is- just doors away from our own home-our neighbors may be hungry and not know where their next meal is coming from. With your help, the Sedona Community Center is privileged to provide a vital solution to this troubling situation.
