SHELTER FROM THE STORM (SFTS) in Jaffrey, NH is a local program providing transitional housing and support services for those who have become homeless due to a variety of circumstances.
The SFTS program helps families in the Jaffrey/Rindge and surrounding areas to get back on their feet while also allowing children to have the continuity in their school experience. We have helped over 400 indiviudals to date.
SFTS seeks to meet the transitional housing needs of families, single persons, elderly or handicapped persons of any ethnic background who have temporarily become homeless due to such acute situations as divorce, domestic violence, job loss, foreclosure, medical expenses, etc.
The expectation is that our guests will be employed and financially independent within 8 months.

The mission of Shelter From The Storm is to provide transitional housing and support programs for the homeless. We maintain five to six apartments in the area providing housing and support programs for up to eight months for those who qualify.
