Sisters 4 Kids

Sisters 4 Kids' mission is to inspire creativity and imagination in ALL children, through books & art supplies. 1 in 6 kids do not have a book of their very own, and 1 in 4 do not have art supplies of their very own. We feel every child deserves these!

Hi! We are 14 year old twin sisters, Lizzy & Ally, who are passionate about art & reading….and giving back to the community we live in! We started the Non-Profit, Sisters² 4 Kids to help ensure that every child has art supplies and at least one book of their VERY OWN!
Sisters² 4 Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
We have been a non-profit for 18 months, and have been able to impact over 2,000 children so far!
We put together bags for each child, that include age appropriate books and art supplies. We have worked with schools, after school programs & foster care agencies. Basically, we work with anyone that gets the opportunity to work with kids, that also need books & art supplies of their very own.

Dear Sisters 4 Kids,
Recently, a very neat boy came to live with us (we are foster parents). With him he brought a drawstring bag, and in that bag was his change of clothes, a brush, and some art supplies, 2 books, and a well loved card that said "You matter". He has been with us for a few weeks, and opened up about this bag and it's contents. He was given this bag several months ago, and he said it meant so much to him. He hasn't had his own book for several years, and he has read the 2 books about ten times, and said it gives him an escape at night, to just read and "get away from it all". His favorite is "Bella's Story," which is about a dog. He had almost filled out the teen coloring book/doodling book that was in the bag (we are buying him another one because he enjoys it so much). And then there is this card that says "you matter". The edges are crumpled. He says he would use that little card as a bookmark, and also look at it often, especially when he was lonely or feeling down on himself. I was curious about sisters 4 kids, so have been reading up on what you girls do, and I am so grateful for what you do! Which is why I wanted to send you this message, to let you know that what you do is SO important, and is making a big difference to kids, especially our boy that is now with us. We are not in a situation right now to donate financially, but when we are, you will be the first organization we donate to. THANK YOU for making a difference.
