St. Louis Society for Medical and Scientific Education (SLSMSE)

The Society for Medical and Scientific Education (SLSMSE) has provided financial support for:
- Continuing medical education seminars on practice management, leadership, physician wellness and other topics
- The annual Hippocrates Lecture, bringing a national speaker to St. Louis for dialogue on issues pertinent to the medical community
- Community health education activities of the SLMMS Alliance
- Scholarships to student winners in the medicine and health category of the Greater St. Louis Science Fair
- Sponsorships of the MEDLaunch program at Saint Louis University, and Sling Health (formerly IDEA Labs) at Washington University
- Support for the Missouri Physicians Health Program, which coordinates assistance for physicians suffering from practice-threatening impairments
- Community health programs relating to drug and alcohol abuse, gang tattoo removal, HIV/AIDS awareness and teen pregnancy prevention
