Smart Futures utilizes technology to provide schools and training organizations in Pennsylvania with innovative career education resources that can prepare ALL students for college and career success. Smart Futures online education programs help kids 'get real' -- real about who they are, real about where they are going, and real about how to get there.

KEYS2WORK

Career-Based Skill Improvement and Certification for High School Students
• 15,000 students from over 100 schools/CBOs
• All students do career planning
• 10,000 students improved their skills
• A career-based IEP for each student
• Program build on ACT's WorkKeys program

Results: Gains equated to over $60M in increased earning capacity

PA eMentoring

Online career mentoring for high school students
• Over 40 schools, 4000 students and 200 employers participated
• eMentors recruited from Pennsylvania companies and beyond
• 10-12 week relationships
• Program built around online career planning curriculum
• Provides easy, convenient and fun mentoring opportunity for companies and their employees

Results: Lead to moe confidence about making a post-secondary decision, more knowledge of career and college options, and a personalized college and career plan for every student

My Career Journey
Online Career Exploration for 8th-9th Graders
• 50 schools and 10,000 students
• Fun career exploration game
• Students create a personalized "Career Journal" in about 2 hours
• Online inventories uncover interests, values, skills, knowledge and abilities
• A Career Library includes over 1000 interactive career cards and 16 cluster cards linked to valuable career exploration resources
Results: Students acquired stronger knowledge of themselves and of careers and pathways that fit them best.

Financial Literacy 101
A FREE Financial Education Program for Kids, Teens and Young Adults
• 50 Schools, 1200 kids
• Partnership with Wells Fargo's award-winning Hands On Banking® program
• Contains modules for Kids, Teens, and Young Adults

Results: Students demonstrated an increase in basic financial knowledge important to their success.
