Snake River Fund

A nonprofit organization

The Snake River Fund is dedicated to promoting stewardship of and public access to the Snake River watershed in Wyoming, with an emphasis on partnerships, education, and public outreach.

The Snake River Fund is all about protection and connection. We were the main drivers behind the designation of over 400 miles of river in the Wild and Scenic River System. The quality and free-flowing nature of these waters will be protected in perpetuity for the enjoyment of present and future generations.

Each summer, Snake River Fund connects hundreds of youth from all over the country with the wonders of the Upper Snake River watershed. We specialize in working with our partners to get kids out on the water who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity - from our local LatinX population to regional indigenous populations to childhood cancer survivors from all over the country.
We also strive to make the rivers a safer place to recreate for our entire community. We offer fully underwritten Swiftwater Rescue Courses, teach family river safety clinics, and run year-long river etiquette and safety campaigns.
