Son Shine Lighthouse Ministries

The mission of Son Shine Lighthouse Ministries is to provide a safe, spiritually enriched transformation home where women and their children are offered a new beginning through a life-changing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ through loving mentorship and a community of support.

We are a faith-based organization that relies exclusively on the generous donations from individuals, local churches, businesses, and others. We are celebrating our tenth year of ministry to women and their children from over 24 counties across East Texas. We have served over 104 women and have over 1400 volunteer hours logged per year. We equip each resident with the skills needed to lead a life of productive independence. We see women experience life changing, spiritual, emotional and educational growth. We strive for healing of present and past hurts through discipleship programs, parenting skills classes, job readiness training, basic life skills, educational advancement for high school equivalency and community college, and recovery programs. We offer a one year long program, consisting of four phases, our success rate stands at 87.5% over five years with our graduates leading healthy lives, contributing to their communities, their churches and their homes, reuniting with families and restoring broken relationships. We need help through prayer for the women and the staff in this ministry, support through annual or monthly charitable contributions and volunteering to transport women to appointments, teach, provide devotionals and bible studies, mentor, childcare and many other areas.
