Southmayd Home is nonprofit residential care home, exclusively for women 60+. As a private nonprofit we take pride in reinvesting our income back into the home to continuously make improvements to better serve residents. Long term residency options start at $1900/month, with pricing based on room and additional service selection and respite stays for $95/day for a 4-day minimum. Included in the base cost is three meals daily, three snack and beverage provisions daily in between meals, weekly housekeeping, laundry and linen change service, a weekly assisted shower or bath, medication administration and the solace of being in a secure home-like setting with staff on-site at all times. Recreational activities are a core amenity at Southmayd. We offer a wide variety of recreation such as live entertainment, games, religious programs, journaling, out trips, horticulture, arts and crafts and themed parties. Residents are consistently invited to offer feedback so that the activities offered are in line with their interests. Most recreational activities are offered at no individual cost to the residents. Our Give Local proceeds directly to support the recreation program. Thank you for your support!

Who We Are

Southmayd Home is a unique, nonprofit, nonmedical residential care home for senior women who prefer a family-like living experience. For more than 121 years, Southmayd has provided hundreds of women a beautiful and active home in which they can age in place freely and fully. We are governed by a board of directors comprising local community members who understand the unique needs of community living. Southmayd carries on its century-long tradition of funding approximately half of the residential living costs with all-inclusive services, resulting in very affordable accommodations. We also offer trial and respite stays, and contracts are not required. Today, personal care, social engagement, well-being and activity continue to be important cornerstones of Southmayd’s mission.
