SpayMart

SpayMart's mission is to save and better the lives of animals in the Greater New Orleans area and the Gulf Coast region through adoption, rescue transport, and access to veterinary care, including low cost spay/neuter. We find homes for more than 750 cats and kittens each year through our Kitten Foster Program; our Felicity Fund subsidizes veterinary care for pet owners in need. We operate two adoption centers and a sanctuary for cats abandoned or damaged by disasters.

Founded in 1998, SpayMart operates a combination thrift store/adoption center in Metairie, LA, as well as an adoption center located in PetSmart in the Elmwood Shopping Center in New Orleans.

In addition to our Kitten Foster Program, adoption centers, the Felicity Fund, and our sanctuary, we subsidize spay/neuter procedures for outdoor cats trapped by local volunteers and offer programs like Seniors for Seniors (fee-waived adoptions for senior cats & humans), Rescue Transport (relocating cats & dogs to shelter partners in the north), and a low-cost spay-neuter voucher program. We are dedicated to saving and changing lives in our community!
