Special Hearts in the Arts

The Special Hearts in the Arts mission is to provide opportunities to individuals with special needs to showcase their talents through the Arts.

Special Hearts in the Arts is a nonprofit Performing Arts center in Corpus Christi that is designed for individuals with special needs who want to explore the Arts and share their talents with the Coastal Bend community. CEO Sherri Davis' dream of watching disabled individuals perform on stage inspired her to develop a way to make it a reality. In 2016, with the help of some wonderfully supportive associates, she started Special Hearts in the Arts. Almost 7 years later, the organization has grown beyond all expectations and now serves over 40 clients from several counties throughout the Coastal Bend area.
The Stars at Special Hearts in the Arts are talented artists, actors, musicians, dancers, writers and designers that have shared their talents and skills with audiences all over the Coastal Bend, lending to the artistic culture of the community. The Fine Arts curriculum at Special Hearts in the Arts includes activities that teach our Stars about the Arts, and gives them a platform for self-expression, confidence building, and communication skills development. Their contributions to the local public go beyond the artistic, and inspire inclusion and acceptance of all individuals while promoting their Special Abilities.
The Coastal Bend has a vibrant population of people with Special Abilities and Special Hearts in the Arts provides a space where they can express themselves, pursue their passions, develop their
talents and share their greatness with others.
