Spencer County Educational Foundation

The Spencer County Educational Foundation was formed in 2019 and in just 4 years SCEF has raised $125,000.  Over $70,000 has been awarded to 51 teachers in the district for grants they have applied for to impact students in their classroom.  Teachers have used the funds for initiatives from classroom books to a set of guitars for a music class, pasta making equipment to flexible seating and graphing calculators to electric balances for science labs.   Almost $48,000 has helped to increase the amount of computers and ipads in the classrooms across the district.   SCEF is also proud be a large part of funding and growing the JROTC program at Spencer County High School.   The money raised by SCEF goes to support our mission - to enhance and elevate the student experience at Spencer County Schools.
