St. Patrick Catholic Church of Gretna

St. Patrick parish will use the money raised during this event to fund the building projects around the church including updating the sound system in the Church, repairs to the concrete in the parking lot and sidewalks, and the restoration of our stained glass windows.

Break Down of Cost

Updating the Sound System

With a sound system in the Church being 20 years old it's time to upgrade to have better sound during Mass. Be a part of updating to a new system. This update has a rough estimated cost of: $100,000.

Repairs to the Concrete

This summer we will continue concrete repairs throughout the parking lot and sidewalks around the church from normal wear and tear. The repair needed have an estimated cost of: $64,575.

Restoring our Stained Glass Windows

Overtime time it is typical that the metal bracing of a stained glass window becomes warped and it is preventative maintenance to have them flattened and re-braced. We began this project in 2021, to have a couple windows at a time taken out to be flattened and re-braced. St. Patrick has 12 large stained glass windows in the nave of the Church. The 6 windows on the south side have been restored, however the 6 on the north side and the rose windows in the north and south transepts still need to be restored. The proposal for each window is approximately $3,700 per window. The south rose window has been estimated to cost $29,000 to restore, and the north rose window is estimated to cost $23,900. In total an estimated cost of: $75,100.
