St. Paul University Parish (Wichita State University)

St. Paul University Parish is the Catholic Student Center for Wichita State University. It is a place of joy, faith, and an encounter with Jesus Christ. Through prayer, service, and fun, St. Paul serves Wichita's college students during the formative years of their lives. 

Things have been BUSY here at St. Paul! From parties and social events to bible studies and formation talks, there is always something happening at the Center. What a gift to see so many students gather for fun, fellowship, and faith. They hunger for friendship and long for something more lasting than the false pleasures the world attempts to provide. 

After the energy and enthusiasm of the opening week, our FOCUS missionaries and student leaders got to work leading Bible Studies for over 225 Wichita State students, including members of sororities and fraternities, freshmen and seniors, athletes, and graduate students. On Wednesday nights we have so many Bible Studies that we have to have two in the rectory and one in the Maintenance Closet because we've run out of room! A great problem to have. I firmly believe that evangelization occurs through relationships, and Bible Studies are one of the best ways for college students to feel valued, known, and loved. My life changed in a FOCUS Bible Study while I was a student at KU, and I know the same life-changing experience is occurring with our students.

Thank you for your generosity and support of college ministry. The Lord is transforming hearts on this campus, and I am thrilled that you are part of the team making that a reality. I look forward to continuing to share with you the stories of our students and how God is working in their lives.
