The Stella Maris House is partially funded by County and State funds. However, annually, a bed at the Stella Maris House costs $3,942 in donated funds to operate. 

St. Vincent de Paul Bremerton has been serving our community since 1937, offering critical support to those in need. Over the years, we’ve provided assistance through various programs, from food and financial aid to housing and shelter services.

This year, for the Kitsap Great Give, we are focusing on the Birkenfeld-Stella Maris House - our shelter dedicated to women and children experiencing homelessness. More than just a bed, it’s a place of safety, stability, and hope for those in need.

Every dollar donated during the Great Give will go directly to the shelter, ensuring that women and children in need have a safe place to stay, meals to eat, and the support to rebuild their lives.

Providing a safe place to sleep isn't about just a bed - it's about serving with dignity, offering support, and creating opportunities for a better future.
