St. Anthony School Programs

A nonprofit organization

St. Anthony's is an inclusive educational program for students of all faiths, ages 5-21,with Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs. Currently, we have four elementary programs, three high school programs, and one post-secondary program at Duquesne University. St. Anthony's operates in a special resource room designed to help our students succeed with their academic curriculum and work towards becoming as independent as possible.

Our unique program thrives within select Catholic schools throughout the Pittsburgh region. St. Anthony's operates in 11 different resource rooms that are designed to help our students succeed with their academic curriculum. In addition, we provide other services such as speech, occupational, and music therapy, as well as job and mobility skills training. In addition to the special resource rooms, students can attend inclusive classes and participate in sports, musicals, and other clubs with their peers. For nearly 70 years, St. Anthony School Programs has helped students of all faiths live their lives to the fullest academically, socially, vocationally, and spiritually, so they may grow and become active and contributing members of society.

Testimonials

"When Watson was ready for kindergarten he needed life skills support, but he also needed an education and an opportunity to develop socially. During our search, we found that no other school could offer us the exceptional benefits of the St. Anthony School Programs." -Penelope, mother of post-secondary student Watson

"No place else has made progress with Katie the way St. Anthony's has. She is reading for the first time, which is very special because I was told she would never read. Not only is she growing academically, but Katie is also meeting friends and is being invited to birthday parties!" - Kim, mother of elementary student Katie
