State Theater Foundation, Inc.

Our mission is to enrich, entertain & educate our community by providing exceptional cinematic arts in a unique, intimate setting, while preserving the last historic movie theater in Central City.

The State Theater staff is composed of volunteer board members and weekly volunteers. We strive to keep our costs low so families can enjoy the theater without spending a lot of money. Our ticket prices and concession prices have only been raised once since the reopening of the State Theater. We have partnered with area businesses to sponsor movies for the community. We also work with local organizations, such as the Volunteer Fire Department, to provide a free movie around the holidays for children and families. Other organizations, such as the elementary school, use the theater for fun activities for the children before the Christmas break and at the end of the school year.
