The St. Bernard Enrichment & Rehabilitation Corporation is a non-profit entity organized under the laws of the State of Louisiana, exclusively for developmental, charitable, educational, economic, and scientific purposes. Our purpose is to raise the economic, business, educational, and social levels of those residents of the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan Area, who are substantially unemployed, underemployed, or whose income is below the federal poverty guidelines.

. Our organization provides a myriad of services including, but not limited to:
*Academic - In 2002, our organization received a grant ($102,000.00 - TANF) from the Louisiana State Department of Education - to implement a high-quality afterschool tutorial/enrichment program and summer institutes to provide academic support, technology access, arts enrichment, community development projects, guided physical activities, critical thinking skills development, service learning, and health improvement. The Department renewed our contract each year thereafter - until 2005 which necessitated the suspension of services due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina.

*The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation: From the years 2015 to the present, our organization has received "Community Partnership Grants In-School/Summer Programs in Arts Education" from The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation. The program teaches instrumental music to youth in the Greater New Orleans Area. The Program conducted weekly/bi-weekly music instruction sessions for two (2) hours twice a week during the school year and three (3) hours twice a week during the summer months. ***Due to the Pandemic whic
