The St. Charles CARE Center engages, empowers, and uplifts young people and their families through programs that promote strengths, address challenges, and guide toward lifelong success.

The St. Charles CARE Center is St. Charles Parish's community resource and family assessment center, a single destination for families to receive help navigating social services and resources. We are a hub that hundreds of community members access each year by visiting or calling our facility in Hahnville. In addition to maintaining a comprehensive social service and resource directory, we also cultivate strong relationships with service providers across and beyond the parish to ensure we provide members of our community with meaningful and direct connections to services.

Our Family Assessment Center uses an innovative assessment and intervention service model through which we partner with young people and their families experiencing challenges at home, school, or in the community. Families often face multiple barriers to success such as mental health disorders, traumatic histories, and academic and workforce disruptions. Through a comprehensive assessment, our Navigators aim to understand the strengths and needs of families, motivate them to recognize where they may need support, and empower them to begin the change process.
