Stealing Hearts Rescue

It is our mission to save the lives of many stronger breed dogs that are often overlooked and provide them with the opportunity to become loved and cherished companions. We save dogs from euthanasia, dogs that are sick, pregnant, nursing moms and breeds of dogs often ignored by our communities. By saving one, we save many.

Stealing Hearts Rescue was founded back in 2015 when Founder, Toni Cerepanya, decided she wanted to open her own rescue after working/volunteering with a rescue for the past 20 years. Stealing Hearts is large breed specific rescue that focuses on your medium to extra large dogs. We are a no kill rescue and each dog who lands in our care gets a check up, vaccinations, and spayed/neutered before going up for adoption. Most of our dogs come to us needing medical care, pregnant, or just had puppies. We take all the necessary steps to ensure all of our dogs (even unborn puppies) receive the best care. Our mom dogs go to a special foster where they can have the puppies in peace and be taken care of until the puppies are old enough to be on their own. Our medical cases also go to one of our foster homes until they are ready to be adopted out after healing. We also work closely with a trainer who helps our more difficult dogs who may suffer from PTSD, skittish towards males or females, or who may need more help than others to adapt before getting adopted. Our founder/CEO works a full time job and still manages to work full time running the rescue as well as vetting adopters before letting dogs be adopted out. In 2018 alone, we rescued 273 dogs and adopted out 271.
