$20,000 Goal

Our goal is to raise $20,000 in 24 hours. Will you help us reach our goal?

For nearly 10 years, the Steven Vanover Foundation has been at the forefront of rare cancer research. With the support of donors like you, we have given over $1,200,000 to local and national efforts to provide more options for cancer patients. We want you to continue building hope with us. Over the next five years, we pledge to continue to help build a future in which sarcoma doesn’t exist.

This campaign, Blueprint 2030, has already begun. The Steven Vanover Foundation has just announced two commitments totaling over $1,000,000 to aid local cancer treatment efforts. With your help, we can achieve this commitment and help cancer patients receive the care that they need close to home. Our million dollar commitment to Norton Cancer Institute will bring a sarcoma-focused oncologist to Louisville, allowing patients to access cutting-edge treatment and care. We also announced a new partnership with Baptist Health Foundation, providing support to their Hardin Cancer Center in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. We are building the future we want to see. Your donation gets us one step closer to seeing this blueprint come to life.

The Steven Vanover Foundation has worked to keep the legacy of our namesake, Steven Vanover, alive through studies and initiatives funded at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Norton Cancer Institute, the Sarcoma Foundation of America, and other organizations. Our new commitment to Norton will ensure Steven’s name lives on through the Steven Vanover Foundation Endowed Chair. This oncologist will bring us one step closer to finding a cure for rare cancers.

In addition to Blueprint 2030, we have worked hard to support the following initiatives over the past 9 years:

  1. The Norton Cancer Institute’s state-of-the-art genomics diagnostics lab. The lab advances the way cancer patients are diagnosed and treated in the region.

  2. Memorial Sloan Kettering DSRCT clinical trials. MSK conducts the only research of its kind for Steven's rare cancer type. Our study has given patients more stability and more time.

  3. Academic scholarships. The Steven Vanover Foundation supports students in their academic journeys following a path of leadership, just like Steven.

  4. Resources and care for cancer patients. Our foundation meets the needs of patients in our community through experiences to help ease their journeys through treatment and beyond.

Our mission
The Steven Vanover Foundation’s mission is to eliminate sarcoma by supporting initiatives that meet the needs of patients and funding the science that leads to cures.
