St. Mary's Cathedral (Grand Island)

St. Mary’s Cathedral in Grand Island, NE is seeking donations for the purchase of a new nativity scene to be displayed outside the church. To date, we have raised $4,400 toward this goal. 

The nativity is a visual reminder of the miracle of Jesus and his humble birth.  The nativity invites us to be part of the event by drawing us in and inviting us to experience the miracle as it might have been in Bethlehem.  It has been said that the nativity scene is like the living Gospel rising up from the pages of sacred Scripture. Through its beauty, it communicates with each of us, creating connections with all who gaze upon it, from the youngest toddler to the most seasoned parishioner.

St. Mary’s Cathedral would like to add a beautiful, handcrafted wooden nativity in front of the church for families, guests, and neighbors to enjoy as we celebrate this most sacred season.  Thank you for your consideration. Grand Island
