Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church

A nonprofit organization

Saints Peter and Paul is a
multi-cultural faith-based parish community located on the corner of 36th and
“X” in Omaha, NE.

Our parish was founded in 1917, to provide for the
spiritual needs of Croatian, Slovenian and Hungarian Catholics

We later
absorbed the Lithuanian parish, St. Anthony, and now minister to Catholics of
many ethnicities

The original church was razed in May of 1966, in
preparation for our new church, which was dedicated on October 27, 1967, making
it the first church in the city of Omaha with a round design.

In 1926, Saints Peter and Paul
School
opened.  The school continues to operate today,
as part of the Omaha Catholic School
Consortium
educating students from
various parishes in southeast Omaha and beyond.

Our parish has a legacy of dedicated parishioners, who volunteer their time and
talents to assist the parish in various ways.  We continue to celebrate
our community heritage each year on the first Sunday of August, coming together
with friends and family to host the longest running, “Greatest Festival in
Town
”.  It is an event like no other; with games, rides, raffles and some
of the best ethnic food you have ever sampled, please plan to join us this
year!

With your support, we will be able to continue the growth of our parish
community for all families who desire growth in faith.

God’s
richest blessings to you!
