Studio Players

Studio Players is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization whose mission is:

• To provide the community with quality live theatre.


• To provide audiences with a season of productions from classic to contemporary.


• To provide those willing to volunteer their time and talents with the opportunity for involvement in all phases of theatrical production.

Studio Players has been a staple of the Lexington arts community since 1953. We have been performing in and caring for the historic Carriage House in Bell Court since 1959. Studio Players has the distinction of being the oldest community theatre in Kentucky that is still in operation. We are committed to providing entertainment, connection, and storytelling to the thousands of patrons who support us each season. We are an organization by the community, for the community.

We rely on ticket sales and donations to fund our productions and maintenance to the Carriage House. 

Your generous support funds the upkeep of the historic Carriage House, proper storage of props & costumes, set materials, light & sound equipment, production costs, and stipends for our talented production crews.
