St. Vincent de Paul District Council

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, offers person to person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its patron, St. Vincent de Paul. Organized locally, Vincentians witness God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a faith-based organization offering service to those in need. The Society is nationwide, but our local organization is focused on serving those needing assistance here in East Texas through ten local Conferences. Each Conferences responds to the unique needs of their community.

SVdP in East Texas in 2023:
* 24,000 personal visits: home, eldercare, other
* 40,000 recipients of food, utility funds, furniture & clothing
* $620,000 aid: Food, rent, utilities, Rx
* 348 active members; 238,000 volunteer hours
