Testimonials

Jason, a devoted single father of three, lost his job and housing. The children's mother struggled with mental health issues and could not help.

Jason sought help from a local agency. However, it was closed on the weekend. He was also waiting for a voucher-funded apartment. BUT he needed a place for his family NOW. Overwhelmed, Jason had no home, no help, and no way to provide for his kids. His family was preparing to live in their car.

Jason reached out to Sweet Oak. Our volunteers quickly reserved emergency lodging in a local hotel. While waiting for housing, Jason earned income through Uber and got a job. Several weeks later, the family moved into their own apartment!
